Arrhenius rule of thumb
Definition
A common rule of thumb that many reaction rates roughly double for every 10 C (18 F) rise in temperature.
It is the practical expression of how activation energy and temperature set reaction rate. It explains why warmer water drives oxidation faster even when less oxygen is present. The rule is approximate and used for estimating risk, not exact prediction.
