Reaction kinetics
Definition
Kinetics is the part of chemistry that dictates how fast reactions happen, as distinct from whether they are favorable.
Higher temperature gives faster reaction rates and quicker electron transfer. Kinetics complicates the oxygen story because hotter water reacts faster even as it holds less oxygen. It is governed by the activation energy barrier that every reaction must clear.
