Transactional oxidation
Definition
Transactional oxidation is electron exchange that produces stable products without degrading an engineered structure.
It behaves like a clean transaction where one species readily gives up electrons and another offers a favorable home for them, as when sodium and chlorine form sodium chloride. Nothing useful is destroyed, no structure thins or ruptures. It often occurs during chemical manufacturing or controlled reactions.
