An inexpensive, semi-quantitative culture device for trending planktonic bacterial counts over 24 to 48 hours.

Dip slides are inexpensive and useful for trending but have low precision. They measure planktonic populations in the water column over 24 to 48 hours. Their value is in spotting changes over time rather than precise counts.
