Dispersant

Definition

A chemical used alongside biocides to lift deposits and expose sheltered surfaces so treatment can reach them.

Dispersants are critical for converting biocide access from the water column to the surface by breaking up and lifting deposits. They expose organisms that would otherwise remain protected within the structure. Used with biocides, mechanical removal, and flow management, they form part of coordinated biological control.
