Managing flow to eliminate stagnant zones where biofilm preferentially establishes.

Biofilms begin in low-flow zones, so eliminating stagnant areas removes the conditions that let weak attachment strengthen. Flow management is part of coordinated control alongside mechanical removal, dispersion, and biocide use. For Legionella in particular, designing for circulation reduces the dead legs and low-use branches where the organism thrives.
