Heat Transfer
Definition
The controlled movement of thermal energy from a hotter region to a cooler one. It is the foundational capability that nearly every industrial, climate, and life system depends on.
Heat transfer is felt directly on skin in a pool through conduction, convection, and evaporation, and the same mechanisms move megawatts of thermal load through industrial systems. Modern civilization depends on delivering heat where needed, removing it where it causes problems, and redistributing it to keep systems stable. Water sits at the center of nearly every thermal system because it transfers heat exceptionally well.
